Education

Our educational projects create post-school classes, workshops, magazines, and sponsor education for children who are the most deprived of equal opportunity. We believe education is one of the most powerful tools to bring about a change in our society.

Children's Workshops

We conduct dynamic post-school workshops for young children that open up conversations on real-world issues while building essential skills for the future. These sessions cover a wide range of topics—from climate change, history, and geography to critical thinking, public speaking, and English language development.

Designed to be interactive and discussion-driven, the workshops create a space where children are encouraged to ask questions, form opinions, and explore big ideas together. The goal is not just to teach, but to ignite curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning beyond the classroom. We promote asking questions - kya, kyu aur kaise, i.e. what why and how.

Book Donation Drives

At Anjuman School, we conduct our annual notebook donation drive for students from class 2nd to 10th, consistently reaching and supporting over 300 children each year by providing them with a full set of notebooks covering all subjects.

Each notebook features the inspiring message “Let your imagination fly”, encouraging students to dream big and express themselves freely. Alongside the distribution, classroom conversations remind children to stay focused in their studies while making time for creative exploration—nurturing not just academic growth, but imagination and confidence as well.

Post School Classes

Our teacher, Asma Madam, leads post-school classes every weekday with dedication and care. She uses this time to clarify students’ doubts, organize engaging activities that build public speaking skills, and create a safe space for open communication.
Her classes not only strengthen academic understanding but also inspire confidence and collaboration among students. As a result, school attendance has significantly improved, and a strong sense of unity, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning now fills the classroom.

Tailoring Courses

Currently in our fourth batch of tailoring skilling programs, we are empowering women's economic ability with the skill to tailor, design, and create women's attire. So far, we have trained and empowered over 400 women to gain tailoring skills through 6-month programs where they learn alongside their peers.

This initiative not only builds financial independence, but also fosters community, confidence, and long-term resilience. Each stitch becomes a step toward self-reliance and a future shaped by their own hands.

Henna Courses

Our Henna Course has already empowered over 100 women with valuable artistic and entrepreneurial skills. Now in its third cycle, the program continues to build economic independence and confidence among participants. Through the art of henna, women are not only gaining a source of income but also reclaiming cultural expression and identity. This course is creating a strong community of skilled, self-reliant women who uplift and inspire one another.

Women Empowerment Seminars

Our programs for empowerment present conversations on the power and need of women’s economic, educational, and social support systems. Over a week’s discussions, women are engaged in group activities and discuss women’s positions in society with an open mind. The purpose is to bring women together and create a space where new ideas can begin and create a conversation in their own homes, such that, the next generation of women live a better and more equal life than we do today.

Reproductive Rights Seminars

We conduct workshops in collaboration with Dr. Noor Niaz, Founder of BMMA (Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan), and present conversations on the power and need for women’s rights over their reproductive rights. This brings many women to the forefront of key topics such as women’s support groups, psychology, the importance of rights, and spreading awareness.

Happy Triangle Magazine

Happy Triangle Magazine: covers stories on Indian history, self-learning, and health times. It aims to provide a form of learning aid during the lockdown, especially for those who may lack tech-learning facilities. It is curated to assist and improve English reading and comprehension skills for readers between the ages of 8 to 15 years. It began in August 2020 and now reaches 400 readers every month in Mumbai. It is distributed for no charge. The magazine focuses on teaching young children in a way that engages them in new conversations and ideas. As we slowly move out of severe corona infections, we are changing our monthly publications to quarterly publications, which would allow us to enhance our quality, story telling, and surveying.
